A Talk with Ami Vitale

Ami Vitale is a documentary filmmaker, photojournalist, speaker, and educator, and an acclaimed National Geographic photographer. She is also the founder of Vital Impacts. Her work follows people living on the front lines of war, climate change, and extinction who refuse to let those crises define their futures. Through that journalism she points to resilience and to the balance between people and wildlife.

Heroes Around Me hosted her as a guest speaker on Zoom on May 2, 2025, at 8:00 PM EST. Volunteers who joined the session could count the time toward volunteer hours.
